We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our growing team.

Position Summary

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a multi-state workforce of more than 4,000 employees. This role serves as a key partner to Human Resources, Accounting, and facility leadership teams, ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and exceptional employee support.

What You'll Do
  • Process semi-monthly, monthly, and off-cycle payrolls, including bonuses and payroll corrections.
  • Ensure payrolls are accurately submitted to our third-party payroll provider, Paylocity.
  • Review and validate payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance before submission.
  • Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation, including payroll registers, facility checklists, payroll communications, and GL uploads.
  • Administer employee wage garnishments, including setup, calculations, ongoing maintenance, and timely remittance in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources teams across multiple locations to resolve payroll-related questions and discrepancies.
  • Support direct deposit troubleshooting, payroll software guidance, and routine payroll updates.
  • Monitor and maintain labor data synchronization between Dashboard HC and Paylocity.
  • Verify state-specific unemployment insurance (SUI) reporting accuracy.
  • Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain PTO balances and related reporting.
  • Train and support users within the Paylocity platform.
  • Prepare payroll reports, bonus calculations, and other analyses for senior leadership.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Payroll Coordinator, Payroll Specialist, or similar payroll-processing role.
  • Experience working with payroll software such as Paylocity, Paycom, or comparable systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting multi-state payroll operations.
  • Healthcare, senior living, or service-industry payroll experience preferred.
